Born in California, and growing up in Montana, gave Erika the tools she needs to be a great competitor and all around snowboarder. With a background of big mountain snowboarding, she brings confidence and style to the Slopestyle arena. Having worked hard last winter, she was invited to train with the US Snowboard Team in May at Mammoth Mtn, therefore, solidifying any questions she had of whether or not to go for Sochi.
Erika plans to do the necessary competitions in order to be considered for the Olympics this season, including the Grand Prix, and a couple FIS events. She is also finding time to film and help with a couple different web edit series. Like everyone else, she is hoping for big snow this year, to bring back some of her Montana backcountry roots. “I can’t wait to go build some jumps and try some things I have been visualizing for a while. I’m stoked to be riding for Canyons Resort in Utah again this year- the sidecountry access there is off the hook!”
